Tagging your pet with both an identification tag and a rabies tag is the only way to ensure that your pet will return home from animal control. It is easier for animal control to locate a pet's owners if there is a collar with a tag with current information. Most PetSmarts have instant tag making machines so you can have a tag made immediately to make sure your pet in properly indentified.

Microchip your pet for added security. If on the rare occations your pet is separated from its collar, a microchip will also identify where your pet belongs. Liberty offers low-cost microchipping for $20.
